Fausto Gracia (Juan Carlos Jaramillo Gracia) graduated Visual Arts at the University Autonoma de Queretaro, Mexico.

Artistic practice for me has the capacity to deconstruct hegemonic realities to create different situations. I also believe that art itself is a tool of social action and of current cultural discourses. The constant search for a way of communicating and interacting with others has led me to use the street as the most suitable space for my actions. In this case, the visual poetry has allowed me to refine this approach and the interaction with the viewer. My research process began with performance in 2008 and since then, I have been trying to find a way of communicating with others through the presence of the body, taking into account space and context as well as how time influences each of the actions. I try to find poetry in the simplest everyday actions. I think this is where we find art and this is how I also understand my own poetry.
