These five young artists are all second year students on the Performance Pathway a dedicated course and cohort in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art in London. A world recognized leading centre of excellence in Post-Graduate study in Art and Design. Currently there are 19 students, 9 second years and 10 first years on this two year course. This program established in 2013 brings to the fore Performance Practice as a point of focus and research within Fine Art. To discover its potential, basis and then possibility. The candidates and application are from many countries and we approach “performance” in their work and practice on a very wide making and thinking basis. These are all strong and comitted artists of the future and learning “live” to risk and move forward not only their own work but the subject and then wider questions of culture. Whether that is about outside place or where they come from or about self and identity and the body inside.
